Bubba & Dutchess litter born 1/6/09

Here is Bubba and Dutchess's first litter, they had a total of nine puppies but unfortunately two did not make it.  Dutchess is doing great as a first time mother, and the puppies are doing wonderful.  The puppies were born on January 6th, 2009 and will be ready for delivery by between February 17th - 24th, 2009.  We have a total of four males and three females, but one male is already spoken for.  We will update the web page weekly with new pictures and a brief summary of how they are doing. Front dew claws have been removed and puppies have been checked by or vet @ Warrenton Vet Clinic. All puppies have found new loving families. We'd like to thank everyone for their interest and support. All of the puppies went to very special families that showed a strong disere to own a Chessie they were all  kind, responsible, and loving families.

THINK BEFORE YOU BUY!!!  ARE YOU READY FOR A CHESSIE?  Before deciding on a Chessie, there are a few questions that you should ask yourself regarding a new dog in the family.  This puppy will share your home and heart for many years and the decision to obtain it should be discussed with and clearly understood by all family members.  A simplified checklist follows with many items to discuss before purchasing a new dog:

  • Do you have time to spend with a new pet?
  • Do you have physical space for a dog?
  • Can you afford a dog?  The purchase price is only the beginning of dog ownership.  There are annual vaccinations to pay for and neutering or spaying.  Chessies will deserve the best food.  Tick, flea, and heart worm control also must be provided.
  • Can you afford specialized training?
  • Are you frequently away from home?
  • FAILING TO PLAN OFTEN RESULTS IN PLANNING TO FAIL!!!
  • PLEASE MAKE A SMART DECISION AND HAVE SOLID LONG TERM PLAN.
